Guest was a two-year gallery project started in 2024 by Henry Chapman and Laura MacMillan. Our goal was to exhibit artists whose work is sensitive to its materials, engaged with the world, expressive of a personal vision, distinctive in its approaches to form, and restlessly inquisitive about what contemporary art can be.

The gallery space was an intimate one—the guest room of the our home in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, where you can hear birds chirping at all hours of the day. Our aim was to be welcoming and to foster experiences of art that were both contemplative and experimental.
